Calculating an adequate reinstatement sum insured for a Building may be complex. Similarly, arriving at the full sum insured for replacing the furniture, furnishings and equipment (the Contents) may be difficult too.

The “Average” (under insurance) clause contained within our insurance policy means that a claim settlement may be proportionately reduced by the degree of under insurance. It is therefore vital that sums insured are correctly calculated.
